Hello everyone, this is 4th Teru Ogawa.
It’s been very hot and humid, how do you do?
Finishing summer dance tour in Europe with my disciples, I came back to Japan.
Pardubice, Prague, Ljubuljana, Slovenj Gradec, Warsaw, Bratislava, Belgrade, Copehnagen.
We went to 8 cities in 6 countries.
All the moment were full of happiness of meeting beautiful and kind people who love Japan and its culture deeply and enjoying kamigatamai together with.
Showing on TV in Europe is also very interesting experience.
Whenever we are on TV, I always wonder that are my face and voice strange like on screen.
I tend to check myself on their monitoring screen frequently so my disciples sometimes caution me about it casually.
I wonder if we could prepare ourselves same as we do in Osaka, traditional style hair-set at Suehiro salon, stage kimonos from Syochiku-Isyo, stage-wig from Yagigen-Katsura, full stage makeup of masters of makeup. It’d be very different.
This time I choreographed [Moldau/Vltava] and we won 2 prizes at Dance festival in Pardubice.
We performed it other cities as well and people enjoyed the fusion of cultures.
It’s so graciously honored to choreograph such famous tune and I’m glad that people got interested in it with their passion.
