I've finally got all my paperwork done for JET (at least for now),

and I've only got a bit of work left for my final project, before I'm completely done.

So, I'll be spending this weekend in Orlando -- going to a waterpark, visiting malls, and whatever else.

Next Saturday, I'll leave Gainesville for good.

I remember when it was your time, and you made sure to meet up with people, even if you hadn't seen them forever. We even wrote the note... the note I should have given her. But now I can say for sure that I doubt she'd have taken our advice!

I've tried setting up plans with those kinds of, "Haven't seen in a long time" friends, but it's more of a pain than I'd imagined.

It turns out, there's a good reason I haven't seen them in a long time...

This is it... my last day of undergraduate classes.

People who tell me that I'll miss college once I have a real job, are people who didn't have part-time jobs while they were in college.

I will miss my last year of college.

The ones before it? The ones of waking up at 5 AM to rush to work, of carrying around bags of uniforms all day and still having hours of homework left? Nope.

(Don't get me wrong, I do miss working at Starbucks, just a little. But I don't miss doing both at once, and I don't reckon I ever will.)

I think people like to worry.

Even when there's clearly nothing worth worrying over, they'll make something silly up instead.

It's still hard to believe that I got such a wonderful job.

Not only being able to work in Japan for the next...many years, but receiving a free flight over, and so many other benefits...

I feel really lucky

Now I've got all this strange official paperwork to apply for from the government. Fingerprints and health checks and all.

And there was a translation competition I wanted to enter, but the deadline will be some time while I'm in Japan. So I'll have to work extra hard in the few months I have left here!

I'm in a good mood, today

It's finally gotten consistently hot, and feels like (Florida's) spring.

In addition, I've only got two more days of classes left, before I'm completely through with my undergraduate education -- plus, I'm way ahead on my final projects. (I have no idea who these monsters are but I love them)
