Nonsense

I think most low-level college classes take themselves too seriously. And why not? They're intended for hundreds of frightened freshmen who don't know any better, right?

They'll spend more time explaining why their subject is important, than information about the subject itself.

Or, they'll spend an entire class period warning about how strict the grading system for this class is, and why slacking off isn't advisable. (But, inevitably, the last few weeks of class will bring tons of extra credit opportunities, and the tests will be graded with a very loose hand.)

I've put off taking Japanese Culture since freshman year, and now, taking it as a senior, it just seems so silly.

I'm filling out applications for jobs overseas, and you want me to read 40 pages of nonsense because there may or may not be a pop quiz?

Might have worked on me four years ago, but it's too late, now.

Sorry, freshman classes! にひひ But I refuse to waste my time with you, when I know I can get a B+ without trying.
