７月２９日の稚内を皮切りに日本を縦断し、８月１２日に目的地である鹿児島佐多岬に無事到着した、Manchesterから一人でやって来たJonathan君。
その後、屋久島～四国に渡り、徐々に東上して来ました。
その続編をお届けします。
・８月１６日
徳島にいる友達に別れを告げたJonathan君は、８月１６日に京都に入りました。
まず京都で最初に向かったのが銀閣寺でした。

この砂盛は、背後に昇る月を見るために作られたもののようです。

８代将軍足利義政の時代に造られたこの銀閣寺は、一度焼失して再建された金閣寺と違い、当時のまま現存している貴重な建造物です。
その足で彼が向かったのがここ。

南禅寺、だそうで私は行った事が有りません。で彼の説明文の意味も良く分かりません(^^;;
そしてその夜彼は、これもきっと計画通りだったのでしょう、優雅な夜を堪能したと思います＾＾
Kyoto, fire mountain festival
Miho Art Museum, it was built to the "Tale of the Peach Blossom Spring", a story of a fisherman who lost his way but after a grove, spring and cave he found a land if the immortals in the mountains.
It's like a baddies hideout from a James Bond film! You take a 50 minute bus into the mountains, reach the ticket gate, take a golf buggy through a grove, past a spring and through a tunnel before reaching the museum after a bridge.
MIHO MUSEUM という博物館だそうで、私にとっては全く初耳の場所なのですが、それよりも彼が何を書いているか、当初さっぱり分かりませんでした。
で、さすがに悔しいのでよくよく調べてみると、この博物館の設計のテーマが、「桃源郷」だそうで・・それでようやく彼が言っている事が理解できました。
桃源郷をご存じない方は、是非一度調べてみて、それから再度上の和訳に挑戦して下さい＾＾
その後Jonathanは京都に戻り、四つの庭で有名な龍源院や、

と、愛も変わらず中身の濃い一日を過ごしたようです。
