周りの活躍ぶりを羨み妬んでいるような自分がいる。いや、羨んだりしているのではなく、昔カッコ良かった自分と周りと比べて現実のカッコ悪い自分を、同一にしたくないんだと思う。プライドが高いのだと思う。でもそのプライドはある意味大切にしたら良い。プライドは自分なのだから。勿論そのプライドを保つために余計にカッコ悪くなるのはアホらしい。周りは周り、自分は自分のカッコ良いを追い求めていけば良い。時には波立つ感情とつき合いながら、一番大切なモノを大切に育みたい。

There is a part of me that envies and is jealous of the successes of those around me. No, I don't think I envy them. I think I don't want to equate the cool person I used to be with the uncool person I am in reality compared to the people around me. I think I have a lot of pride. But you should cherish that pride in a way. Pride is who you are. Of course, it is stupid to be extra uncool to keep that pride. You can go after what's cool around you and what's cool for you. I want to nurture what is most important to me while dealing with the emotions that sometimes surge through me.
