Ninaがサンタモニカ周辺のドライブに連れていってくれました。
Venice beachです。これぞCalifornia!!
何故か鯉のぼりのようなものがたくさん泳いでいました…
近くのMontana AVEです。
そして、近くのトムクルーズのお宅
この後、NinaはJapanese super marketへ連れていってくれました。
Nina流に発音すると、"スーパル マルケット"
ロシアぁって感じです。
実はNina、大好きなサーモンのにぎりを買いたかったらしい ^^
新宿センタービル53階の DINNING OUT.53 でランチです。

I found a nice Italian restaurant in Shintomi-cho.
有機野菜レストラン「Natural Dining MAIDO」さんです。
It was sunny and a little bit muggy day.
So とりあえず BEER ^^
前菜（hors d'oeuvre/appetizer）
オリーブオイルのきいた西洋きんぴら、紫キャベツのコールスロー、春菊としめじの和え物
バーニャカウダ（Bagna cauda）
こだわりの新鮮お野菜たち…キャベツの上に南瓜、ブロッコリー、人参、ナス、パプリカ、紫芋
ミルクベースにアンチョビとガーリックの効いたディップでいただきます。
ホクホクして美味しい。
誰ですか、二日酔いの胃に優しい、と言ってる方 ^^
さて、ビールでのどの渇きが潤ったところで…
チリの Carbenet Sauvignon をグラスで
お野菜ゴロゴロピザ
クリスピーな生地に人参(really?)、ナス、トマトのピザです。
人参のトッピングははじめてかも
トマトがと～ってもあまくておいひぃ (-^□^-)
そして、次はチリの Chardonnay を。

白菜…いい仕事してますねぇ ^^

Actually, it was the best trip for me.
I was a little bit nervous before bording the plane in Narita, cause it was the first time for me to travel alone.
The next seat on the plane was an old lady who was going to visit her son's family.
We talked a lot about LA.
I told her I was going to stay in Santa Monica and travel to school by bus in Bevery Hills.
She was surprised and said.
"Yuo're REALLY gonna go to school by BUS? My son told never to ride any buses in LA, cause it's sooooo dangerous. When you wear earrings passengers tear them off so if you have to take a seat just behind the driver."
I was scared by what she said.
A school staff picked me up at LAX and drove me around Bevery Hills on our way to the host family's place.
He said that area between Santa Monica and Bevery Hills is safe and you don't need to worry about it and recommended buying a week's pass.
The host family's place was a very nice and safe condominium.
There were 2 buildings and 5 families for 1 building.
All the residents were from Russia.
I was a little bit surprised about her strong accent with "R"s.
She drove me around Santa Monica...Venice beach, the 3rd promenade, Tom Cruise's house, place like that.
When I told her that I can cook for her, she broght me to a Japanese super market and I bought some Japanese ingredients.
The first dinner was borscht with a lot of sour cream.
It was good...
But that was the only dish for dinner. (^_^ ;)
I ended up having borscht every night....
