• SCHELL-OSAGE: Several hundred geese in the area. Mostly ice-covered.
• SMITHVILLE: 8,000 geese (6,000 snows, 2,000 Canadas). Most of the geese are staying in pockets of open water near the dam.
• OTTER SLOUGH: 8,500 snow geese; 115 Canada geese.
Kansas waterfowl
• CHEYENNE BOTTOMS: 3,000 to 5,000 mallards; 4,000 to 6,000 Canada geese. Marshes are Canada Goose 90 percent ice-covered.

• QUIVIRA: 6,000 ducks and geese. Ice on marshes, but it is melting. Use caution.
• MELVERN: Low waterfowl numbers. Ice on marshes and lake.
• CLINTON: Low waterfowl numbers. Ice on marshes and reservoir. Hunting has been poor.
• HILLSDALE: 2,000 Canada geese; 200 mallards.
