「コーダ、あいのうた(CODA)」が米アカデミー賞作品賞を受賞。CODAとはchild of deaf adults(聾唖の親を持つ子ども）のこと。どの作品も鑑賞していないので個人的な映画の評価などないのですが、「CODA」はYouTubeの予告だけで泣けました。絶対に劇場で見ようと思う。
CODA, which stads for child of deaf adults, won the oscar for the best picture in academy awards 2022. I have seen none of the nominated films yet, but seeing several trailers from those on YouTube, CODA was the one that interested me the most. Just watching this short footage made tears roll down on my cheek.
劇中主人公が家族で歌う、both sides now（邦題：青春の光と影)がいい。Joni Mitchelの名曲ですが、いまさらながら歌詞を読んでみました。彼女が飛行機の中で読んでいた小説に触発されて書き上げた曲であるというエピソードにも惹かれます。
In the movie, the leading actor sings "both sides now" before her family. The song originally written and sung by Joni Mitchell is not just beautiful but deep and meaningful. According to her, it was inspired by the novel she was reading on the airplane. This is such a dramatic episode as the song itself.
日本では劇場公開中なので近いうちに見に行きたい。感動の涙、清々しい涙を流したい。
