ヨセフは兄弟たちに言った。
「私は死のうとしている。
神は必ずあなたがたを顧みて、
この地から
アブラハム、イサク、ヤコブに
誓われた地へ
上らせてくださいます。」
そうして、ヨセフは
イスラエルの子らに誓わせて、
「神は必ず
あなたがたを顧みてくださるから、
そのとき、あなたがたは私の遺体を
ここから携え上ってください。」
と言った。
ヨセフは百十歳で死んだ。
彼らはヨセフをエジプトでミイラにし、
棺に納めた。

Then Joseph said to his brothers.
"I am about to die.
But God will surely
come to your aid
and take you up out of this land
to the land he promised on oath to
Abraham,Isaac,and Jacob."
And Joseph made
the sons of Israel swear
an oath and said,
"God will surely
come to your aid,
and then you must carry
my bones up from this place."
So Joseph died
at the age of a hundred and ten.
And after they embalmed him,
he was placed in a coffin in Egypt.
