today's headlines: 2 girls running out of
their apartments like dressed in pjs
it was a perfectly fine evening. flo was trying to
study in her room and jojo had just finished
preparing dinner when the fire alarm started to ring
at first the 2 thot that it was just another fire drill
as there was one which happened 2 days ago. flo came
out frm her room and they started asking each other if
they should flee or just sit and ignore. to assist in their
decision, flo decided to go look outside the window to
the opposte building to see if people were fleeing
while jojo went to look thru the door hole to see if the
neighbours were fleeing. everything seemed so calm
at both ends so they thot of calling up reception to
double check. for some unknown reason, therewas no
answer at reception.
after probably 10mins, the alarm was still ringing and jojo
could smell smth burning, they felt smth's not right so they
decided to go knock on the neighbours door and see if
they should flee. upon opening the door,they saw the
corridor covered in faint grey smoke which stank like s***
the expression on both girls face were priceless. flo was all
ready to run out when jojo shut thedoor and said remember
to take your keys and put on your slippers. both girls dashed out
thereafter. they covered their mouths and dashed out to the lifts
and thankfully the lift door was all open ready for us to step in.
(note: they shld really be heading for the stairs instead)
on the way down, flo was still pretty panicky but when the lift
stopped at the 2nd floor, they saw that there was no smoke or
burning smell in their level. so they decided to ask the indian
guy who just stepped in if he knows there is a fire anywhere.
when they finally reached ground floor, they started running off
tothe receptionist to find out whats going on. the receptionist
seemed pretty calm at that point while flo was still hyperventilating
alittle due to the smoke i think. the receptionist said that the
fire alarm went off from cooking in someone's kitchen or sth.
When they got out of the building, they could see the fire truck and
firemen going in. At the same time., after gettting some fresh air.
the 2 started to giggle and take picture withthe fire engine. after
approx. 10 mins, evryone started going back into the aptmt.
both girls were pretty embarrassed to be in their pjs. (flo wld have
felt it more as she was in her pink multi-colored heart ones.
when they reached their level, they could still smell the smoke
so they started sprinting back home.and open their windows.
as for the sequence of events thereafter, im sure you can imagine.
it was a very interesting evening for the 2 girls
