Today I would like to introduce a little bit of information about the City of Fullerton.Fullerton is known for its education system, historic train station and new development in its downtown area.Fullerton has 5 PublicHigh Schools, 5 Colleges, and numerous Elementary and Middle schools. Fullerton’s most well known academic institution is CaliforniaStateUniversity, Fullerton.It occupies over 35,000 students each year and is known throughout California as a prestigious University.The campus also has a vast arboretum that is home to hundreds of different plant species.
Fullerton has recently adapted a more active night life.In the past couple years many new bars, pubs and similar shops have opened up downtown. This has made Fullerton a hot spot for those wanting to enjoy the nighttime social scenes.
Fullerton has rich history dealing with railroads; for example, its foundation was based on California Central Railroad wanting land in OrangeCounty.In Fullerton public transportation is centralized at the FullertonTransportationCenter where all of Fullerton’s trains and busses pass through. There are also two historic railroad depots, the Santa Fe Depot and the Union Pacific Depot.The Santa Fe Depot is the renovated version of the first railroad station in Fullerton.The Union Pacific Depot was the station for the third set of railroad tracks running through Fullerton, ensuring its growth.The building has been recently renovated into a restaurant.
