Mice games are very entertaining to play because of the simplicity of the gameplay as well as the possibilities of the game. Many mice games have the same objective of acquiring cheese while dodging bullets, enemies, and any other creature that the game decides to throw at the player. For Transformice however, players need the help of Shamans and must use real life Physics in order to finish the objective.
Physics
This game uses real life physics for its gameplay. The concept of weight and tensile strength can be seen with the seesaws and bridges that are built by the Shamans. The cannonball and other objects also use force in order to push the mice off the stage. Finally, the structures created by the Shamans can only be pushed if enough mice push together simultaneously.
Gameplay
Transformice uses the keyboard to control the mouse. Players can use the WASD keys, arrow keys, or the numeric pad to make the mouse move, duck, and jump. The only objective in this game is to acquire the cheese and to reach the mouse hole with the cheese in hand. Doing so will earn players points which they can use to purchase virtual clothing or customize maps. The top three players in every stage will also receive additional points while the players who die in a stage will only receive one point. Players need to help one another in this game in order to balance seesaws and push obstacles which hinder their path. Shamans may also help other players by supplying the necessary parts needed in order to reach the cheese and mouse hole.
A time limit of two minutes is given per stage. A different stage will then be selected once the time limit has passed or all of the players either die or finish the stage. The timer will instantly start at 20 seconds if either the Shaman dies or there are very few mice left alive. There is no bonus received if the player is still alive after the time has expired.
The Shaman
The Shaman class is received by the players who score the highest in the previous stage. Shamans have the power to summon parts and objects which may or may not be used to help the other players. Shamans may also kill other players in the games by pushing them using cannonballs and similar objects. Unlike the normal mice, Shamans gain points by helping other players reach the objective.
