12月2日、我々TrySailはシンガポールにて行われたC3AFA というイベントにお呼び頂きまして、
二泊三日のシンガポールを満喫してきました。
On 2nd Dec, we as Trysail attended an event called C3AFA which was held in Singapore,
and enjoyed a 3 day 2 nights stay.
イベントはとても楽しかった！
I totally enjoyed the event!
シンガポールの方々はみんなとっても温かく、
しかし、ライブになると熱く熱く！盛り上がって頂きまして、ありがとうございました！
The people in Singapore were very warm and welcoming, but when comes to the live, everyone was so hyped!
Thank you for letting us to have such a great time!
途中のMCは全部英語にしてトライしてみたんですが、ちゃんと伝わってるといいなぁ。
We tried to fully speak in english during the MC, I hope that everyone managed to understand.
さて少し時間は経ちましたけども、我々がシンガポールを満喫したんだぞっていうのを、オフショットで振り返っていけたらなと思うます。
Although some time has passed since then, lets look back on how we fully enjoyed Singapore from the offshots.

「夏川のシンガポール旅行記 1日目」
[Natsukawa's Singapore trip diary, Day 1]
東京からシンガポールは飛行機で8時間かかるとマネージャーから聞いていたのだが、客室乗務員のアナウンスによると飛行時間は6時間ほどだという。
Although I heard from my manager that the flight from Tokyo to Singapore would take 8 hours,
the cabin attendant announced that the flight time would take around 6 hours.
しかしもちろん国外線の飛行機となると乗り込むまでにいろんな審査が必要なるから、そういう諸々が大体2時間。
Since its an overseas flight, there would be various inspections before boarding,
adding that to consideration would take about 2 hours.
つまり、この言い方が正しいかはわからないが、東京とシンガポールは〝ドアトゥードア〟で8時間という事だ。
Not sure if putting it this way would be correct, but in other words,
the time it takes for "Door-to-door" from Tokyo to Singapore would be 8 hours.
まぁ正直、飛行機に乗る時間が8時間なのか6時間なのかはどちらでもいい。
But honestly, it doesn’t matter to me if the flight time is 8 or 6 hours.
機内で観れる映画の本数が4本なのか、3本になるのかの違いだけである。
The difference it makes would be watching 4 movies from the inflight entertainment instead of 3.
何が言いたいかというと、シンガポールはめっちゃ遠い。
What I am trying to say here would be that Singapore is very far away.
日本とシンガポールは地図上では近く見えた。
Although looking at the map, Japan seemed close to Singapore.
ということは、世界めっちゃ広い。ね。
This would mean that the world is seriously huge. Right.
飛空時間6時間。
6 Hours flight time.
それなりの覚悟で乗り込んだのだが、いうほど辛くもなかった。
Putting that in mind as I boarded, it did not seem as harsh as I thought.
もともと狭いところが嫌いでない私には、一般的に窮屈と言われる座席も快適に感じたし、耳抜きも上手くできて、むしろご機嫌だった。
While I normally don't dislike narrow places, the commonly described to be cramped seats actually felt comfortable,
and being good at clearing out my ears, I was in a good mood.
途中、食事を挟みながら6時間、読書をして過ごした。
Having a meal halfway through, I spent the 6 hours reading a book.
湊かなえ、「ポイズンドーター ホーリーマザー」。
[Poison Daughter, Holy Mother] by Minato Kanae.
空港で購入したのだが、まさか行きの飛行機だけで読みきってしまうとは思わなかった。
I only bought this book at the airport, and did not expect to finish the book just from this flight.
そのため帰りの飛行機では、映画を3本観て過ごすことになる。
So I had to watch 3 movies on my return flight.
「プーと大人になった僕」「ベイマックス」「SEARCH」。
[Christopher Robin],[Big Hero 6] and [Searching」. (3rd movie was listed as "SEARCH" in Japan.)
……快適である。快適である。
Comfortable. It was comfortable.
何事もなく無事、シンガポールに到着した。
Safely and without any problems, I arrived in Singapore.
着陸の瞬間、近くで「あぁ、すごい上手なパイロットだ」というような声が聞こえてきた。
Upon touchdown, I heard a voice nearby saying "Aah, this pilot is really skilled."
確かに衝撃も少なく、スムーズな着陸だったが、随分臆病な客である。
Its true that the impact was minimal, and the landing was smooth but this passenger seemed to be rather timid.
気になって声の方を向いた。
Curious, I turned towards the direction of that voice.
天さんだった。
That person was Ten-san..

今回はちゃんとシンガポールの話をする、はず。
The previous post unexpectedly ended after talking about just landing in Singapore. I’ll be sure to actually talk about Singapore this time. I guess.

「夏川のシンガポール旅行記 1日目 ②」
[Natsukawa's Singapore trip diary, Day 1, ②]
着いてまず感じたのはジメッとした風。
日本の夏と違って湿度の高い暑さだった。温室の中にいるような。
The first feeling I felt upon reaching was the damp feeling of the wind. Unlike Japan, this heat seems to be due to the humidity. Like as if I was in a greenhouse.
12月というと日本ではマフラーが欲しくなる季節。
もちろん常夏だということは事前に聞いていたので、準備の方は抜かりなかったが、やはり体がびっくりしていた。
When December comes in Japan, one would be thinking of getting a scarf, but of course I heard beforehand that it would be a constant summer, I got myself well prepared. Still, my body felt the surprise.
異国に来たのだなと肌で感じた瞬間である。
しかし、不快感などはなく寧ろ快適に感じたのは、喉を使う職業病か。
I could feel it from my skin that I came to a different country. However instead of feeling uncomfortable, I rather felt comfortable for my throat, probably due to occupational sickness.
次に感じたのは街の綺麗さ。
Next I experienced how beautiful the streets were.
シンガポールは法律が厳しいという。
ゴミのポイ捨てには罰金が。チューイングガムは売ってない。夜になるとコンビニやスーパーでの酒類の販売をやめる。
Singapore is known to have strict laws. Like, fines for dumping litter. Chewing gums are not sold. Alcohol are no longer sold in convenience stores and supermarket come nightfall.
つまり、渋谷によくいる、コンビニの側でガム噛みながらチューハイ飲んで、ゴミをその場においたままどこへ行くでもなく歩き出し、日●レあたりの深夜番組のインタビューを受けて全国ネットでその痴態を晒す、という事がない。
In other words, the strange sight that could be seen in late night “Ni●re” interview programmes commonly in Shibuya where people would drink Chu-Hi and chew gums, then leaving their trash behind would not be an occurrence here.
(日●レ here actually refers to Nippon TV, a television channel in Japan commonly said as “Nittele”, 日テレ)
ゴミを見つける方が難しいほどに清潔な道。
The streets were so clean that it was difficult to find trash.
道幅にも余裕があり、中心街でも人はさほど多くない。
時間を気にしながら歩く人や、殺気立って急いでいる人も見かけなかった。
Streets were also wide enough that it didn’t feel crowded even in the city center.
There was also no one that is walking along the streets rushing for time with a killing intent.
つまり、渋谷の駅前あたりで〝人混み〟が観光名所になっているという狂気的日常はどこにもなく、もちろん、観光名所になったことで集まってきてしまう、スマホを天高く構え録画しながら歩く観光客もいなければ、そういう人たちの横を強引に掻き分けながらイノシシのごとく突き進んでいく殺気立った〝追われ人〟もいない。
In other words, there is no everyday sight like in front of Shibuya Station where the “crowding” becomes a tourist attraction, and thus gathering more people, and if not for tourists holding up smartphones high up in the air there would not be people forcibly pushing their way through like a wild boar charging with a murderous intent.
夜になるとシンガポールの街はさながらテーマパークのようだった。
At night, the streets of Singapore became just as if it was a theme park.
3つのビルの屋上に巨大な船のようなものが横渡しになったあの有名なビル。
常にイルミネーション的煌びやかさのある建物だが、決まった時間になるとあの建物を中心に光と水のショーが始まるんだとか。
On that famous building where the rooftop looks like a ship joining 3 buildings together, illuminations were constantly on but however when the time comes, there would be a light and water show on the center of the building.
夕食は、そのテーマパーク的ビルの近くでとることになっていた。
Location for dinner was near that theme park esque building.
回転式のテーブルに次々と豪快な料理が運ばれてくる。
薄い青色のゴム手袋をはめ、ペンチのような道具を使い、サッカーボールを半分にしたような大きさのカニと格闘する。
One after another, scrumptious dishes were served on a rotating dining table. Armed with light blue rubber gloves, tools that looked like pliers, we fought with crabs that sized like a soccer ball that is cut in half.
10人掛かり、15分ほどかかって、ようやく1匹片付けた直後、2匹目、3匹目が続けて運ばれてきた。
豪華だが静かな食卓であった。
カニはうまかった。
It took 10 men, 15 minutes to finally take 1 down but eventually finished the second, then the third.
Although wonderful, the dining table was quiet.
The crabs were delicious.
帰り道。
道沿いのバーが来た時より賑わっていた。
ノリノリのクラブミュージックが外まで漏れ聞こえてくる。
Returning back, the bar along the road was more crowded then I first passed by earlier.
The groovy club music was leaking outside and clearly audible.
わたしの後ろで音楽に合わせ「フゥー！」と叫ぶ日本人がいた。
随分陽気な観光客がいたもんだと振り返る。
There was one Japanese behind me shouting [Foo!] along with the tune.
Thinking that this tourist appears to be cheerful as I turned around.
天さんだった。
That person was Ten-san.

「夏川のシンガポール旅行記 2日目」
[Natsukawa's Singapore Trip Diary, Day 2]
シンガポールは街のあちこちに芸術的なモニュメントがあるのだが、我々が宿泊していたホテルはそのモニュメント達の巣のような状態で、見渡せば必ず目を惹く何かがあるようなところだった。
The streets of Singapore are filled with artistic monuments but the hotel we stayed in was essentially like a nest of such monuments, and just by looking around there would definitely be something that would catch one’s eye.
チェックインの時から気になっていた、人の顔面をかたどった一人がけのソファに座って、マネージャーとメンバーを待つ。
Since our check-in, I took a liking to a human face shaped sofa and sat on it as I waited for the other members and manager.
2日目は近くのフードコートで朝食をとることから始まった。
フードコートはホテルの目の前にあった。
広々とした空間に料理屋がいくつか並んでいる。
まだ開店していない店もあった。
For 2nd day we had breakfast at a food court nearby, which was right in front of our hotel. In a huge space, various food stalls were lined up, although there were stores that were still closed.
具材を好きにボウルに入れて、スープと麺の種類を選ぶフィッシュボウルと、日本でいう肉まんやあんまんにあたるホットフードをいくつか。
I had various hot foods such as choosing ingredients I like and putting them in a bowl, then choosing the type of soup and noodles, meat buns and red bean paste buns similar to those seen in Japan.
鶏が丸ごとローストされていく様子をガラス越しに見ることができた店では、チキンライスを注文し、みんなでシェアして食べた。
個人的に一番気に入ったのは、このチキンライスだ。
あの絶妙に火が通ってはいるが硬くなる一歩手前で止まっているチキンのプリプリとした感触が忘れられない。
At a stall where one could see a whole roasted chicken through a glass, I ordered Chicken Rice and shared with everyone. Personally, I liked the Chicken Rice the most. The chicken was cooked thoroughly just right before it would harden, and I cannot forget that juicy texture of the chicken.
メイクを済ませ、本番のステージの前にトークイベントに参加した。
Finished doing make-ups, I then joined a talk event before our performance on stage.
台湾の時も思ったことだが、アニメや声優を好いてくれている人は勉強熱心な人が多い。
I thought about this before once at Taiwan, but I noticed many people studied hard because of their love for anime and voice actors.
我々は日本語でトークをし、それを通訳していただいていたのだが、通訳する前からなんとなく伝わっているような気がした。
We spoke in Japanese as it was going to be translated, but I felt that people had understood before it was translated.
スタッフさんの中にも、日本語を話せる方がたくさんいた。
慣れない外国でのイベントでこれほど安心することはない。
Even within the staff members, there were many who could also speak Japanese.
I never felt so relieved attending an event in another country which I was not used to.
シンガポールの方々の真面目さや語学力の高さにとても助けられた。有難い。
I am grateful for the people in Singapore for their level of seriousness and language skills which helped me.

「夏川のシンガポール旅行記 2日目 ② 」
[Natsukawa's Singapore Trip Diary, Day 2, Part 2]
初参加のC3AFA……なんと2日目のトリという光栄な場所をいただいていた我々には、トークイベントが終わってから数時間の空きがあった。
Even though it was our first time participating in C3AFA, we had the honor of being the last performer on the 2nd day, and had a few hours of free time after the talk event ended.
なんとかスタッフ陣を説得し、この時間を利用してまたシンガポール飯を喰らいに向かう。
We somehow convinced the staff members, and made use of the time to try out more Singapore food.
12月がシンガポールの雨季に当たることを思い出したのは会場から出た時。
見たことないくらい大粒の雨が道路に叩きつけられていた。いわゆるスコールというやつである。
Stepping out of the hall, it reminded me that December in Singapore is a raining season. Big raindrops I had never seen before were battering the streets. You could even call this a squall.
行き先は決まっていた。
シンガポールのチャイナタウンにあるマックスウェルフードセンター。
We had decided on our destination. Maxwell Hawker Center, located in Singapore’s Chinatown.
屋根のついた屋台村で、朝のフードコートより地元色の強い場所だそうだ。
Described as a food village with a roof, it feels like a place with more local colors than the food court in the morning.
しかし、なかなかタクシーが捕まらない。
タクシー自体はたくさん走っているのだが、どれもすでに客を乗せているのだ。
However we could not seem to get any taxi.
There were many taxis driving around but all of them were occupied.
ここでもやはりシンガポールのスタッフさんに助けられた。雨の中タクシー会社に電話をかけながら、道路に出て空車を探してくれ、最終的に電話でタクシーを手配してくれた。
Of course at this point we had to get help from the local staff. Calling the taxi company in the middle of the rain, while finding a vacant taxi on the road, we finally got one from the phone.
本当にありがたいと同時に、自分自身を少し不甲斐なく思った。もう少し英語を勉強しようか。
At the same time for being really grateful, I felt myself to be useless. Maybe I should continue learning some more English.
マックスウェルフードセンターは想像よりずっと広かった。
イートスペースを挟んだ両脇に店がずらっと並んでいる。しかもそれが3本あった。
Maxwell Hawker Centre was far bigger than I had thought. Stores were lined up as they surround the eating space from both sides, and there are 3 of these sets.
閉まっている店もいくつかあって、目星をつけていた粥屋がやっていなかったのは残念だったが、色んな店を回って他の店の粥とチキンライス、フォーを手に入れた。
There were stores that are closed, and sadly the congee store we had in our objective was closed. However after looking around at the other stores, we got hold of congee from another store, as well as Chicken rice and Pho.
このフォーがうまかった。
トムヤムクンフォーに似ていたが、料理名はそれであってるのだろうか。
濃厚な海鮮のスープに具がたくさん入っていて、辛さもちょうどよかった。
The Pho was delicious. It tasted like Tomyum Pho, but I believe it was in the dish name itself. Filled with rich seafood ingredients in the broth, and the spiciness was just nice.
マックスウェルフードセンターを出る頃にはスコールも止んでいた。
時間もちょうどよく、また会場に戻ってこれた。
The squall already ended by the time we were leaving, and we are able to return to the event hall just in time.
いよいよC3AFA本番である。
Finally time for the performance at C3AFA.

After we left off at Maxwell Food Center, we return back to the main feature, C3AFA. This will be the final part of Natsukawa’s (my) travel diary.

「夏川のシンガポール旅行記 2日目 ③ 」
[Natsukawa's Singapore Trip Diary, Day 2, Part 2]
シンガポールでTrySailに与えられたのは2日目のトリ、45分という贅沢すぎる時間だった。
2回のMCを挟んで9曲を披露。
時間ギリギリまで詰め込んだステージだったが、全てを出し切った。
For Trysail’s Singapore performance on the 2nd day, we were allocated to be the final performers, and a whole 45 minutes was set aside for us.
We had a total of 2 MCs interposed between 9 songs.
It was a heavily packed stage, but we managed to fit everything in.
散々世話になったシンガポールのスタッフさんに、最後まで助けてもらった。
曲をギリギリまで詰め込んだ結果、MCが1分ずつ、全2回となっていたのだが、それを全編英語でやる事になったのだ。
日本語で作ったMCを自分たちでも軽く訳しながら、より伝わりやすい言葉を教えてもらった。
We received alot of help from the start till the end from the staff we were under the care of.
Due to time constraints on the performance end, we had 2 sessions of 1 minute MCs, but I was still able to convey what I wanted to say fully in english.
本番直前、我々は衣装に着替え、最終確認と気合い入れをした後で、ステージ袖に待機していた。
私の前には、もちさんと天さん、２つの背中がある。
私は本番前になると心を落ち着けるため（あるいは完全なる私欲のため）にもちさんにくっつくなどしているのだが今回はどうしようか……
Just before the performance, having changed into our costumes, and having gotten the final confirmation checks, we stood by the stage wing.
In front of me there were 2 backs, Mocho’s and Tenchan’s.
One of things that I normally do to calm down my anxious heart before the performance (or simply because I want to) is to cling onto mochi (though I still end up wondering what should done). Wondering whom I should cling onto today...
