This scene at 0:07 is us when we see jumpscares in doctor who.
Some people feel that she fits in between the 2nd Doctor and the 3rd, which doesn't work because she would have recognized the sonic screwdriver. The Doctor only started using it from her second regeneration onwards, so she has to be between the 1st Doctor and the 2nd, which also doesn't work because in the original series, we see one regenerating into the other so she doesn't fit in there either. What only makes sense to me is that we are all currently living in an alternate timeline caused by some massive event (perhaps this is where the timeless child fits in? and that The Doctor exists in a state of superposition. She's two people at the same time. There's Doctor that we know of and there's the one, that for some reason or another has been busy elsewhere in the universe and just now has come out of hiding. I feel that the Ruth Doctor is actually the 10th Doctor in her original regeneration set. The text she received said, Happy Birthday X could X mean she's the 10th Doctor? We won't know the answer to this until the final two episodes. I'm sure the Ruth Doctor will be there in one form or another.

You are correct. There was no other time when the Doctor jusy brushed off an event as scary and emotional as this, yet, in retrospect, if only the Fifth Doctor AND his Companions brushed off Adric's death.

Theres something about the Doctor that I think is pretty indescribable. Every actor to play the role has had this look in their eyes, this incredible sparkle, it's a look of mischief, it's a look of love, it's a look of loss. Even the Classic Who doctors had this look and tbh idk how it's done I just know it when I see it. I haven't seen that twinkle in Jodie yet but I hope it'll come soon, shes a good doctor nonetheless and this Mystical twinkle certainly isn't a defining factor of a doctor, I just think its something casting directors should look for. That's why I think Pheobe Waller Bridge would be an incredible Doctor, just look at her eyes.

Boring story lines with zero relatability to past, extraordinary, complex, funny, likable Doctor Who's. Why? Political correctness being shoved down our throats. Why? I've been a true blue fan since the 70's but this is NOT Doctor Who. It's as though the writers have not bothered to watch past seasons. Zero continuity. There is no "bright side" here unless you consider the extra recording space on your DVR. The Frog was simply the last straw. "Amelia Pond, GET YOUR COAT" we are leaving.

Oh the BBC always put their action line number at the end of any programme that they feel contained emotional life changing drama. They did it at the end of Vincent and the Doctor too, because it touched on mental health issues. They do it on soaps like EastEnders also from time to time, just in case you have been affected by any of the issues in tonight's episode. The Beeb do love to take everything they do so very seriously.

It rated one of the lowest episodes yet. vincent and the doctor were trending on Twitter for hours after. Poundland Storm and Uncle fester were wasted IMHO, Yep 15 seconds and they were done. The CGI on the fingers wasnt good Basically a Cosmic Wet Willy. Yaz improved so much this episode but Tosin Cole seems to be going backwards. Monotone and zero emotion in any lines.
I think we're building to 13 having a meltdown.

I agree with the last 10 reviews on almost everything:
bad writing
too much PC - I am absolutely for inclusiveness but not for the sake of it only if it fits and this really looks like they are ticking the boxes. By the way we had lesbians (cant remember whether we had gay men) and Doctor Who obviously fancied some of his female companions but now that the Doctor is a woman is she lesbian now as well? Not really sure how to take this.
And by the way I am missing ( or is this too extreme for the BBC) and there is no person under 150cm (apart from the Dalek) and most of all NO Asian person! Oh my god is the BBC racist? Sorry about the sarcasm but it is so obvious that they chose the actors for the quota that it hurts. Dont get me wrong I have absolutely nothing against gays or any race and they should be included if it fits or just choose the best actor no matter what he or she looks like? How about that concept. It is obvious that they did not choose the actors on acting ability. (or maybe its just the very poor script.
I stopped watching after the 3rd episode (I only kept watching in the hope that it gets better, but it got worse. Now I decided to give it one more try and watched episode 11. What a joke!
This episode is partially reconstructed from previous episodes (Dalek etc) but it is totally boring and unconvincing. First we get bored to death with personal issues of first the couple doing the excavation (and why are there only 2? then the soapy relationship story with the reappearing dad ( why did he has to come anyway? and it just goes on and on. If I feel like watching a drama about relationships then I watch a drama and not a scifi series. It felt like they did not know what to write so they put some relationship issues in, but these would need to be developed and progressed and not just thrown in.
Then the dalek builds another armor in shed and even manages to build a rocket drive to fly and missiles. This is one crafty farmer who keeps this in his shed. But the end was the worst, how did the Doctor fight the dalek? By talking him out of his wits?
This was totally ridiculous, what a bad writing. This is it for me. I might watch another episode next season, if there ever will be one after this plunder.

The acting in this scene alone from Jodie is phenomenal! And the revelation and music added just make this the best scene in NuWho yet. I cant wait to see how this storyline pans out. Bring it on.
