What I thought today was that people here are kind to people who they don’t know. They try to create a safe environment for new people. I thought about this when I was playing volleyball with the other students. They gave me a high five while playing. They ask people’s name in a very natural way. The bad thing is that it is hard for me to remember the names because they are unfamiliar with me. I mean the names!
And another thing that came to my mind is that it would be interesting to study how typical African American pronounce what they are speaking. In Japan, I have studied how British English works, but not how African American English do.
By the way, I bought 2 of my text books today and it was about $100. I really have to study hard to make it a good deal.
Yesterday, I’ve been talking with my Russian friend about the Russia Japan war. I thought it was nice that we have peace now. If it were 100 years ago, we would be fighting, not having lunch together. I really appreciate for the peace we are having now and hope all the people in every corner of the world will feel as I do.
We have no special things to do all day, but I am still having fun!! Thanks to Baylor!!
