I am a Japanese-Canadian living in Ibaraki.

It is the season for sanma (Pacific saury).  We went to eat at a restaurant in Choshi that my wife found on the internet.  We ate 3 different sanma dishes: the sashimi, sushi, and grilled sanma.  Totally recommend the sushi and sashimi when it is in season; just delicious.
