April is Weird So Far | James Kenji Harada (原田ジェイムス健治)

This is a blog about the things in my daily life.
I am a Japanese-Canadian living in Ibaraki.

This month has been a little weird internationally. Boston Marathon bombing, China and Japan’s earthquakes, and North Korea’s missile threats. The Boston Marathon bombing isn’t a direct threat, but it does bring home that there are some threats that you can never prepare for and that there are a lot of nutty people everywhere. The big earthquakes both in China and Japan are more of a direct concern to us because they seem to be increasing. Terumi actually was in Kobe when a larger earthquake hit there (magnitude 6.3). North Korea is just an ongoing annoyance. I have no idea what they want, but it is kind stressful to think that the country next door is threatening to hit the country you live with nuclear missiles.
