I'm not afraid to say that I enjoyed the 1996 original. It's so bonkers for all the right reasons. Plus, it's Roland Emmerich, who's always in on the joke. I'm also not afraid to say I'm looking forward to this sequel. Let's hope it's a return-to-form for Emmerich, and that it's a strong mix of fresh ideas and nostalgia. Take my money, please!!.

Well, at least they found a use for all those left over special effects from the movie 2012. But it's still the same old sexist shit. Just another excuse to show the mass slaughtet of males. Don;t think so? Stop the scene where they show people floating away in the anti gravity attack scene. Not one female in the group shown up close. Oh they threw in a couple of token female piolets, but, as usual, they did not show any stepping up to the firing line. Certainly not in any real numbers in any scene..
I honestly think human imagination has been exhausted. There is nothing more we can invent. Every spaceship looks the same, aliens are the same. I think perhaps make a movie where we are the aliens looking for life on other planets to colonize and as a result we engage in destruction of an alien species in pursuit to fetishize our desire to rape, kill and dominate...spreading our sickness to outer space along with our nike commercials..
