「真っ暗なところに手を伸ばしているだけかもしれないです。
自分の理想図っていうものも日々どんどん変わっていきます。
達成できるできないではなくて、どんなものを描いていくかっていうところに今立っているからこそ余計に、手を伸ばすだけじゃ意味がないかもしれない。
けど、ふと手を伸ばしていた先に何かが、自分の理想みたいなものが手に触れた瞬間に、ちゃんとつかめるようにしていきたい。
元々がアスリートとしてこうやって何かをつかむという作業をずっとしていたからこその、この羽生結弦という思考の塊みたいなものになっているんだろうなとは思います」
“I may be reaching out into the darkness.
My ideal vision keeps changing every day.
Whether I can achieve it or not is not a 

matter now, but since I am in a position 

of what kind of stories I should create,

so that just reaching out may not be enough.
However, at a moment when I reach out,

and when I feel something like my ideal,

I want myself to prepare to grab it properly.
Since I have been an athlete, and

have been working to grab something,

so that such work must be the core of

Hanyu Yuzuru’s thoughts, I feel.”

がっつり準備して

がっしりつかみ取ってきたんだよね！

Making very sure, and

prepare fully, no, more than fully,

魂を込めて舞い続ける根源的なテーマは
「“今を生きている”ということ、これから“生きたい”と思えるような演技」。
卓越したフィギュアスケートの技術に、新たなジャンルを掛け合わせることで表現の解像度は高まり、訴求力は強まる。
そして「この延長線上に理想型を持っていいんだなと思えた」と語る。
The fundamental theme of his soulful

performance is;
“Live in this moment” performances

which make viewers feel “I want to live.”
While combining his amazing figure skating

skills with new genres, the resolution of

his expression is increased and

his appeal becomes stronger.
