北京五輪以来となる演技の舞台だが？
「そうですね、やっぱり右足首のけがが、思ったよりも、自分が思っているより大きくて、うまく練習できない日々もあったんですけど、だいぶ落ち着いてきましたし、まだ完治ではないですけれども、しっかりケアしながら、付き合いながら全力で演技できるところまではきました」
It’ll be the first performance since Beijing, how do you feel now?
Well, the injury on my right ankle was much more serious than I thought, so there were many days I was not able to practice.
Yet, it’s not perfectly cured, somehow manageable now.
however while taking care of it well, I worked hard to prepare for the performance here.

「アイスショーのなかでも、やぱり『ファンタジー・オン・アイス』って、自分のなかでもすごく特別な存在ですし、何より、ほんとに小さいころからずっと同じオープニングで滑ってきて、またこの季節にたどり着くことできたなぁ、無事たどり着けることができたなと思って、なんか、すごくうれしく思っています」
Among many ice shows, “Fantasy on Ice” is, for me, a very special one. Since when I was very young, with the same opening music, I’ve stated.
Now I feel happy to be in this season, feeling that again I’m in this session.

4回転半ジャンプについては
「自分がフィギュアスケートをやっているなかでの、熱量の根源みたいなものなので、ずっと目指していけたらいいなぁって思います」
“Regarding 4A, he said” It’s a kind of foundation of my passion, so I hope I can keep challenging it.

「ファンタジーは、何で言うんですかね、ま、実際に会場も熱いんですけど、皆さんの見て下さる熱気というか、そういうものを感じながら僕たちも滑っているので、なんか、正直、今までリハーサルしている時も『あっつ』と思いながらやってましたけど、それこそファンタジーだなと思いながら滑れていますね」
“Fantasy” is, well, the venue itself is really heated, heated atmosphere by audience, feeling it, we skate, so honestly talking, even rehearsing, I feel “oh, heated!” and it realises me I’m on the ice of “Fantasy”.

アイスショーは特別なもの？
「また違った雰囲気も味わいつつ、だけど、やっぱり『ファンタジー・オン・アイス』だなと感じられるものになっていると思うので、やっぱ良いなぁって思いますね。」
Ice shows are special?
Something different atmosphere I enjoy, at the same time it has something make you feel “Fantasy on Ice”, such feelings is really good, I think.

皆さんの見て下さる熱気というか、そういうものを感じながら僕たちも滑っているので、この熱い夏が始まるなぁって思いながらやってます。
Imagining the heated atmosphere by audience, I am practicing here thinking the heated Summer is coming.

For the first time in three years, FaOI is coming back.
Hanyu Yuzuru, attended group practice today, the day before the show,
showing relaxed mood though, sometimes also showing serious mood, he confirmed the moves.
Tomorrow, he will try the first performance since Beijing Olympics.

本当は、4回転半の練習も普段はしたいなぁとか思ってはいたんですけど、右足首の怪我は、自分が思っているよりも大きくて、まだ完治ではないですけれども、しっかりケアしながら、今の自分の全力を出させていただきます。
Actually, I wanted to practice 4A in my daily practice though, the right ankle’s condition was much serious as I thought, yet, it’s not perfectly cured, somehow manageable now.
however while taking care of it well, I would like to showcase all what I can do.
