Sarah lives here in Mishima but for her first time, seeing this scenery
お水の中に黒っぽいところがあるでしょ、溶岩なんだけど、いつもはごつごつ溶岩の島が見えているのよ。冬なんて、すっからかんになっちゃうことも。
Can you see black rock under water? they are lavas and usually they look like small islands in the pond. And in winter sometimes the pond has no water.

First time for 57 years, Kohama-ike Pond in Rakujuen Garden in Mishima got 2-meter depth water.

三島と富士山の間、三島溶岩流の上に工場地帯がいくつかあるのよ。溶岩流の中には水脈があって、あちこちの工場が地下水をくみ上げちゃうでしょ、だから、お水が少なくなったらしいの。
There are some manufacturing quarters in the areas between Mishima and Mr. Fuji. They pomp up ground-water so it said water in Mishima is much lesser.
