In midst of what now known as Lodi Gardens (Lady Willingdon Park in British time) stands this beautiful structure, Shish Gumbad, made in late 15th century made by rulers of Lodi dynasty. The 'Glass Dome' houses tombd of an unknown family which some historians believe can be that of Bahlul Lodi, the founder of the Lodi Dynasty. Lodi dynasty came to rule Delhi in 1451 and in 1526 Ibrahim Lodi, the last sultan of Lodi Dynasty was defeated by a conqueror from Fergana, Babur.
