昨年2018年最初の記事もU2でしたが、今年もでございます（笑）
今日のこの曲は、マイベストU2ソングかと思います。『Pride (In The Name Of Love)』と甲乙つけがたい位に好きな曲です。

『Two Hearts Beat As One』は、1983年にリリースされた3枚目のアルバム『WAR（邦題：闘）』からのセカンドシングルで、イギリス、アメリカ、オーストラリアと日本のみでリリースされた。
またヨーロッパのみでリリースされたシングル『Sunday Bloody Sunday』のB面に収録された。
社会派の曲が多かったこの時期には珍しく、ボノがハネムーン中に作ったストレートなラブソング。
MVの監督はメイアート・エイヴィス、ロケ地はパリのモンマルトル。アルバム『Boy』と『War』のジャケットの表紙を飾ったピーター・ローウェンが出演している。またこのMVは商業リリースされていないため貴重なものとなっている。

U2はボノさんがクローズアップされることが多いですが（ボーカルだけでなく色んな言動がですが… フロントマンなので仕方のないことかもしれませんけどね）、曲を聴くとやっぱりメンバーそれぞれの技術が凄いんだなぁと改めて思います。
パートそれぞれ独立して聴いてもカッコいいなぁと惚れ惚れしてしまいます。
あとね、ストレートなラブソングとWikipediaにはありましたが、ボノさんにとってのストレートですよね。歌詞を読むとちょい面倒くさい気がします（笑）

U2のYouTube公式にて、最近昔のMVがリマスター（かな？）されて次々にアップされております。
この曲の貴重なMVは10日にプレミア公開とのこと！
最初に載せたいと思います。
VHSに録画して何度も何度も見た大好きなMVです。
最後には、イギリスのTV番組『Top Of The Pops』に出演した際の動画を載せますね。
この番組は、口パクで出演させるのが有名なのですが（笑）U2は生演奏のよう！
きっとボノさんが口パクなら出ないとか言ったに違いないとか勝手に思っています。（個人的な推測です）
