Strip Ft. Sharaya J 和訳【5】Little Mix

今日も引き続きリトルミックスの新曲を。

昨日の記事の最初の画像は、今日の曲『Strip』のミュージックビデオのシュートからの一枚。

メンバーのヌードに、これまでに受けた誹謗中傷やコンプレックスなどの言葉を書いており、衝撃的画像の公開！と様々なメディアで紹介されておりました。

ヌードではないですが、ドラマ『Glee』にもこういった「自分のコンプレックスをさらけ出す」という回があったなぁなんて思い出しました。

何シーズン目かで挫折して最後まで観ていないのですが、その回は凄く良かったな－と覚えています。それぞれが自分のコンプレックスを書いたTシャツを着て、ステージで歌うラストだったと思います。

タイトル通り『Strip＝脱ぎ捨てる』をテーマとした力強い曲です。

化粧も、世間の価値観も、勝手な格付けも、全部取っぱらって、自分自身そのものをまず愛しましょうといったアンセムソングでもあると思います。

コラボしているのはアメリカのラッパーであるSharaya J。

Sharaya J（シャラヤ・ジェイ、1984年1月17日-）は、ハワイ生まれの現在34歳のアメリカのラッパー、振付師。

ミッシー・エリオットのレーベルと契約し、『BANJI』や『Smash Up the Place』のシングルで知られる。

それ以前はヒップホップの振付をしたりシナリオライターをしていた。

影響を受けたミュージシャンとして、ミッシー・エリオット、アリーヤ、メアリーJ・ブライジ、ソルトンペパ、マドンナ、TLC等を挙げている。

なるほどーという感じなのですが、5年前のデビューアルバムからのシングル『How Ya Doin'』でコラボしたミッシー・エリオット繋がりでのこの方なのかなと思いました。

この曲も滅茶苦茶格好良かったですよね♡

⚠️訳について⚠️

ラッパーさんが加わるとスラング率が急激に上がるので、訳は非常に難しかったです。

もしかしたら抜けている部分もあるかもしれません、スラングは続々出てきてどんどん廃れていくので（汗）これもスラングだよ！というのがあれば是非教えてくださいね<(_ _)>

・mañana a la noche → スペイン語で明日の晩という意味。

・boobs, ass → おっぱい、お尻のこと。assは「けつ」っていう感じかな。

・ stretch-marks →ストレッチマーク、（急激に太ったり、セルライトができる過程でできる）肉割れの線のこと。妊娠線もこの様に言います。

・H.B.I.C. → Head Bitch in Charge の略。女性にだけ使われる侮蔑的なスラング。若者の仲間うちで使用される。「担当区域の一番上のビッチ」といった意味なので、マウンティングのメス猿と訳しました。

・I'm Benji in charge → H.B.I.C.に対して自分はBenji（Benjaminの略、100ドル札に描かれているのがアメリカの父と称されるベンジャミン・フランクリンの肖像であることから、100ドル札をBenjaminやBenjiと言う。日本で一万円札を諭吉と言うような感じ）を蓄えてると対比させたのかと思います。

・a hundred bars → ラップの小節を100個といった意味。

・Skrrt → skrr、skrtも同様。元は車のアクセルを踏みっぱなしの状態を指す。そこから人の元から去る等の意味としても使われている。ラッパーが用いるスラングとして大流行。

・the drip → つまらない奴の意。
