イギリスのバンド「ザ・ダークネス」の2003年の曲なのですが、勉強不足でしたわ…。
…ていうか2003年と言えば初めての赤ちゃんに初めての育児で、てんてこ舞いの時期でしたわ…（遠い目）
その時期音楽何聴いてたかな？と考えたら童謡マスターになれる位童謡を歌いまくっていました。
おかあさんといっしょの新曲も毎月完璧にマスターして、上の子をおんぶしながら家事をして、ずうっと歌って寝かしつけてましたねぇ…
で、このザ・ダークネスです。
全然知らないのに懐かしく感じてしまうルックスと歌声。個人的には馴染みがないのですが、ジャンルとしてはグラムロックになるんでしょうか。
元々はギターをしていたフロントマンのジャスティン・ホーキンス。叔母のパブのカラオケ大会でクイーンのボヘミアン・ラプソディを完璧に歌いあげ、そのあまりの上手さに弟のダン（ギター）に勧められてボーカルになったのだそうです。
確かにこの高いファルセットはクイーンぽいですよね。

ザ・ダークネスですが昨年ニューアルバムをリリースしているとのこと。薬物問題やメンバー入れ替えや活動休止など色々あったようですが、どうやら現在は復帰して頑張っているようです！
