The Motive 和訳 Then Jerico

なまじ顔が良いだけにアイドル扱いだったゼン・ジェリコ。
当時日本ではテープか何かのコマーシャルに起用されていましたね。

キャッチーな曲にイケメン揃いとあって、気にはなるもののそこまで触手の動かなかったバンドなのですが、TVでのライブを見て「おおおお」と感動したのがきっかけで1枚目のアルバムを聴くようになりました。

First (The Sound of Music)

ビッグベンの見えるロンドンのテムズ川沿いに、野外ステージを組んでのライブで、それがもうとにかく本当に良くて、目が釘付けになりました。

ボーカルのマーク・ショウは、当時男性ファッションブランドのモデルもつとめたり、（兄の読んでいたMen's Clubというプレッピーな雑誌にも載っていました）ビジュアル面で目立っている感じでしたが、その後は、普段のその破天荒な言動に物議をかもしたりするような方でした（笑）
地元イギリスではどんなポジションなのか気になる方です。

ゼン・ジェリコ（Then Jerico）は、イギリスはロンドン出身のロックバンド。  

1983年結成、オリジナルのメンバーは、マーク・ショウ（ボーカル）、シェア・ライダー（ギター）、マグナス・ボックス（ベース）、ポール・デイヴィス（ドラム）の4人。

80年代後半イギリスにてヒット曲を飛ばす。その後一度解散しているが、メンバーを入れ替え再結成。

2012年にオリジナルメンバーに戻り再結成ライブツアーを行った。
