Sometimes in Japan, a Japanese person asks my opinion with this question:  "How do you think?"  When I hear that question, it sounds like the person is asking how my brain works.

When asking a person's opinion about an issue in English, please say:  "What do you think?"

What do you think about this blog?  I hope it was helpful.

How do you think?"

"What do you think?"

"Let a Smile Be your Umbrella"

The rainy season is rough, and may make some people upset, uncomfortable, tired, or cause many other low feelings.

There is a great song from the United States that I feel is a helpful reminder for the rainy season in Japan.  That song is, "Let a Smile Be Your Umbrella."

You can remind yourself, or a friend, or a stranger.  Smiles send kindness.

Many times in English, two words mean the same thing.  "Everyone" is the most common.

"Everyone is welcome!"

"Everyone"

"Everyone is welcome!"
