歌詞が、美しくて悲しい…(ﾟｰÅ)
"You might find me somewhere in the flames."
Flameって、炎の意味だけでなくて、
「恋人」という意味もあるんですね。
そして、最後に女性ボーカルが静かに入ってくるところ。
イイですね。
当時、ガーファンクルさんの恋人「ローリー・バード」が自ら命を絶って、
彼は、失意のどん底だったらしい。
ジャケットの内側には小さく、「バードへ 君に捧げる」と書いてあるらしいです。
歌い方は、ものすごく物静かな感じだけど、
彼の悲しみが、ふつふつと底の方から歌に出てる気がして、泣けます。
