Idea for a Talk Show
Imagine a colorfully painted background with building blocks and obstacles covered by a pair of curtains with polka dots which are opened to reveal our host: a medium-sized, orange corgi. "It's CHA-CHAAAAAAAAAA!!" The crowd goes nuts as he makes his way to center stage, hits his mark perfectly, and sits. He is well-disciplined so he stays--sitting on his mark, but the crowd cannot help reacting to everything he does. People smile, and scream Cha-cha's name, but he sits there in the middle of the stage with the camera pulling in for a close-up of his face. His jaw drops and he begins panting, and the crowd, of course, loves this. Cha-cha continues his excited gaze over the crowd as they finally begin to calm down. Finally, a silence falls over the set, but Cha-cha is still taking it all in. The cameras send extremely close shots of a relentlessly smiling and panting Cha-cha, and pans of what is now an exhausted crowd. They begin to look as if they are waiting for Cha-cha to say something--a few words of appreciation, and they question why they'd come to the show in the first place. Commercial break.
Saved by Satou-san
I'm on my third day at the police box and still have not been formally charged. They have trouble keeping straight faces when they come to tell me, dried specks of rice clinging to my chin stubble, that the cleaning lady , Satou-san, has identified me as a former tenant of the apartment in Shiga prefecture I was seen wandering the week before. I guess the length of time that had passed compounded by the pressure from the police made it impossible for me to recognize the complex when I saw it on the interrogation monitor. Upon hearing of the newly introduced testimony, it suddnely all makes sense to me: I was only drunk and wanting to go home that night. The police let me go without specifying what Satou-san was initially brought in to confirm, but one thing is certain: they made a MAJOR mistake in showing me that security footage. Fatal. I retrieve my belongs and leave the police box for the apartment to rape and kill my former hallmate. She is the only one that could've turned the police onto me.
