みなさん、こんにちは！英会話講師のEmmyです。
今日は地元の区民センターで行われた「からすやま新年子どもまつり」に、お手伝いとして参加してきました。PTAイベントサポート委員会のお仕事です。私は3階の案内係を担当していました。
会場には、手作り体験、ゲームコーナー、焼きそばにわたあめ。
スタンプラリーを回ってゲットした、袋いっぱいのお菓子。
それを大事そうに抱える子どもたちの顔は、まさに“おまつり大成功！”という笑顔でした。
会場を回る中で、知らない子同士が自然に並び、順番を待ち、「ありがとう」と声をかけ合う姿も見られました。
こういう場所は、ただ楽しいだけではなく、小さな社会の練習の場でもあるのだなと感じます。
地域の方々が準備してくださった、あたたかな空間。
その中で思いきり遊ぶ子どもたち。
豪華じゃなくてもいい。
派手じゃなくてもいい。
人の手でつくられた時間には、ちゃんとぬくもりがある。
そんな一日でした。
Hello everyone! I’m Emmy, an English conversation teacher.
Today, I volunteered at the “Karasuyama New Year Children’s Festival” held at our local community center. It was part of my role on the PTA Event Support Committee, and I was in charge of guiding visitors on the third floor.
There were handmade craft activities, game booths, yakisoba, and cotton candy.
After completing the stamp rally, the children proudly held up their bags filled with sweets. Their faces said it all — “Festival success!”
As I walked around the venue, I saw children naturally lining up with kids they had never met before, patiently waiting their turn, and saying “thank you.”
Moments like these remind me that events like this are not just about having fun — they are also small rehearsals for being part of society.
The warm atmosphere created by local volunteers,
and the children playing freely within it —
It doesn’t have to be fancy.
It doesn’t have to be flashy.
When something is made by people’s hands and hearts, it carries a special kind of warmth.
It was that kind of day.
