Who cares your English pronunciation?
In my case, I didn't care that in Japan because I can make myself understood in English. Why most american living in Japan can understand my English is that they listen to Asian English many times in Janan and know Asian English.
So I didn't care my English pronunciation in Japan.
When I stayed in US, I am getting nervous about my pronunciation because American living in US don't know Asian pronunciation and can't understand my English at all.
In order to improve my pronunciation, I am taking pronunciation class on Internet. I know this program when reading blog writen by Japanse who is going to MBA program in US.
According to this program, it will take at least 1 year to fix the pronunciation. In his case, there are fewer experiences to be heard again by British.
