You know what goes well with summer? Harmonica!
夏の暑さを満喫していますか？僕はしてます。夏に合うものと言ったら何だと思います？ハーモニカです！
Today we had a special "a cappella plus one" concert. We sang a collection of songs that we usually do a cappella, but added one special guest musician.
今日は「アカペラ＋one」コンサートでした。普段のアカペラのレパートリーに、スペシャルゲストをお迎えしてお届けしました。
Today we collaborated with Tatsuya Nishiwaki, playing the harmonica.
本日は、西脇辰弥さんのハーモニカとのコラボです。
Did you know that a harmonica has the same musical range as a violin? I didn’t. It was amazing how much music Nishiwaki-san pulled from that small instrument.
ハーモニカがヴァイオリンと同じ音域を奏でられるって知ってましたか？僕は知りませんでした。この小さな楽器からこれほどの音楽を生み出す西脇さん、素晴らしかったです。
We also sang some songs on our own. Here’s the setlist!

It was wonderful to be able to sing in person for you all again. It might be hot outside, but inside these halls and livehouses I think we’re having a wonderful summer. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!
また皆さんの前で歌うことが出来てとても嬉しかったです。外は暑いかもしれませんが、ホールやライブハウスの中で過ごす夏は素敵ですね。お越しいただきありがとうございました！
Oh, I almost forgot…it was my birthday recently. I’m 38 now.
あっ、忘れるとこでした。。最近誕生日を迎えました。38歳になりましたよ。
I don’t feel like I’m 38. That seems old. Nevertheless, that’s how old I am.
38歳と言うと歳とったように聞こえますが、38歳という気がしません。
とは言え、それが私の歳です。
But that doesn’t mean I have to start acting super old.
けど、だからと言って、歳とったように振る舞わないといけないという訳ではないはず。
So in that spirit, here’s a silly music video I made for myself as a birthday present. It’s a ridiculous rock song I wrote, with the lyrics translated into Japanese. I hope you enjoy it!
