Glastonbury Festival Fashion Wrap
  • Sometimes all-bright isnt all right and thats when it looks like youre in your jimjams. Points for printed tights though.
  • Jaime Winstone deomonstrates festivals are the perfect place for ridiculous makeup trends.
  • Will Young is looking pretty cute in his little shorts and stripes combo.
  • Alexa Chung should write a book on festival style. In an army (as distinct from military) jacket with blazer crisp white shirt and designer satchel shes the ultimate mix of dishevelled and arty and something a bit more trend-aware.
  • As we learned in the opening ep of Ugly Betty <a href=cartier watches theres a right way and a wrong way to wear a poncho. The right way makes you look like an anorexic glamazon giantess. Then theres the Jo Whiley way." title="As we learned in the opening ep of Ugly Betty theres a right way and a wrong way to wear a poncho. • Alex Turner in leather jacket and nice layered tees represents male festival fashions standard fare. Oh Glastonbury a filthier mud-pit of a festival has never existed. Fortunately such conditions can sometimes prove fertile ground for fashion inspiration. Take for example the photograph of Gemma Ward in a cocktail frock and filth splattered Hunters from Glasto in '06 a look that launched 1000 trends. Yep sometimes it's exciting to be shown that not only are Wellingtons acceptable (and comfortable vacheron constantin 31 day retrograde watch and practical!) daywear they can even go glam.

That being said almost as ubiquitous as the gumboot this year was the Mulberry satchel which was sported by every second model singer and BrIT Girl in town.

Leather jackets flannels and of course those inescapable cut-offs were also dominant but more and more we're seeing flashes of colour in the form of pretty sundresses (thanks Alexa Chung) and bright jeans and tights making it into the festival fashion lexicon.

Thanks to the launch of J Brand's brights and Ksubi's Kolours I think flashy pants will proliferate festival fashion to almost the same extent as fringed vests did a few seasons ago.

Now if Beyonce had just thrown on some high-heeled glitter on black gumboots with the gold embellished jacket and no-pants look she wore onstage corum mystere watches it would have been another ultimate festival fashion moment.
