アルバム「初恋」のなかで一番好きな曲です。
訳しているうちに泣けてきました。
曲にのせずに、詩だけに向き合っていると、また別の発見がありますね。
このところKing gnuの曲を立て続けに訳してきましたが、リーダーの常田大希さんが参考にしている日本の歌手のなかに彼女の名前が入っていて嬉しく思います。
母の願いを込めた昭和歌謡のようなこの曲を、いつか井口理さんがカバーしてくれないかな、などと妄想しています。
