先日、中・高・大と同じ学校にかよっている一個上の先輩と食事に行きました。食事のきっかけは、大学の交換留学のガイダンスでした。今回の食事でわかったことなのですが、その先輩は僕と比べて圧倒的に英語力が高かったです。純ジャパにして英検一級を保持していました。食事中は英語についての話が多く、食事の最中は全般的に先輩の語学に対する熱意やそれに対する尋常ではない努力に圧倒されていました。
そしてそんな中、自分は以下のような結論に至りました。その結論とは、自分は交換留学に行く身にある人たちと比べて圧倒的に英語力が欠落しているため、より一層英語力の向上に関して努力を積む必要がある。では自分はどんな努力が足りていないのか。それは英語のアウトプットだ。なので今後は、そのアウトプットの一貫として英語でブログを書く。このような決意です。
今回の食事で上記のような決意をしたので、今回から日本語での内容の下に、英語でも記述していきたいと思います。
ではさっそく。
Yesterday, I had the meal with my senior who has gone to same school as me since 2009. The chance of the meal was the guidance of exchange study abroad program. In this meal, I found that he have the overwhelming skills in English in comparison to my skills. One of the examples of his skills is that he has the Grade 1 on the English Proficiency Test. So, from begging to end, I was overwhelmed by his enthusiasm and erratic efforts for linguistic abilities.
Through the conversation with him, I reached the following conclusion. The conclusion is that I will write blogs in English to increase the amount of output in English because in the talk with him, realized that I lack output in English.
In this way, I've made up my mind to write blogs in English, and I will write sentences in English below the sentences in Japanese from today.
