This notice announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life milestones for the 4500 GE 6-Port (GBIC) Non-E-Series Line Card. The last day to order is July 28, 2013, and support continues through July 31, 2018. Key milestone dates are shown below.

Migration Guidance

Users of the 4500 GE 6-Port (GBIC) Non-E-Series line card are encouraged to transition to the 4500E Series 12-Port GE (SFP) or 24-Port GE (SFP) line cards, which support broader optics and compatibility with modern SFP interfaces. Migration assistance programs may be available to apply trade-in credits toward replacement products.
