Overview
This notice announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the software licenses for Catalyst 4900 switches. The last day to order the affected product(s) is September 5, 2023. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support as per the conditions outlined in Table 1 of the end-of-life bulletin.

Product Migration Options
There is currently no direct replacement available for the software licenses for Catalyst 4900 switches. However, customers may be eligible for the Technology Migration Program (TMP), where applicable, to trade-in eligible products and receive credit towards the purchase of new equipment. For more information, customers should reach out to their partner or account team. Additional details on TMP can be found on the Partner Central website.
Additionally, customers may be able to continue purchasing the software licenses for Catalyst 4900 switches through the Certified Refurbished Equipment program. Refurbished units may be available for sale on a first-come, first-served basis until the Last Date of Support is reached.
