These release notes describe supported hardware, software features, limitations, and operational considerations for the 9400 Series switches running IOS XE Bengaluru 17.5.x.
The 17.5.x release train brings significant improvements to security features, routing stability, enhanced programmability, and high availability. It is designed for enterprise-class environments requiring reliable and secure switching platforms.

Unsupported Features

The following features are not supported in this release:

  • Audio Video Bridging (IEEE 802.1AS, 802.1Qat, 802.1Qav)

  • StackWise Virtual Stacking

  • Gateway Load Balancing Protocol (GLBP)

  • MACsec encryption on certain modules

  • Resilient Ethernet Protocol (REP)

  • IPsec VPN tunnel services

  • Performance Monitoring (PerfMon)

  • VRF-aware web authentication

These features remain unsupported for stability and compatibility reasons within the 17.5.x train.
