  • Expanded programmable telemetry support and model-driven interfaces

  • Enhanced SGACL logging for high-rate security event reporting

  • Precision Time Protocol (PTP) support for time synchronization

  • LACP 1:1 redundancy and dampening for enhanced link aggregation behavior

  • Secure switch-to-switch encryption on switching modules with virtual fabric

  • MPLS QoS enhancements, including weighted random early detection (WRED)

  • MPLS VPN InterAS Option AB for simplified multi-AS connectivity

  • OSPF nonstop routing and loop-free alternate fast reroute support

  • PoE port power priority configuration and power management options

  • Private VLAN support on trunk ports and aggregated links

  • Enhanced programmability features such as stable configuration persistence, certificate management, and YANG model support

These enhancements are delivered progressively across maintenance builds of the 17.3.x train.

Unsupported Features

The following features are not supported in this release train:

  • Audio Video Bridging (including IEEE 802.1AS, 802.1Qat, 802.1Qav)

  • Bluetooth wireless connectivity

  • OpenFlow plug-in integration

  • StackWise Virtual stacking mode

  • Converged branch deployment solutions

  • Gateway Load Balancing Protocol (GLBP)
