Overview

NX‑OS 11.0(1e) for Nexus 9000 Series ACI switches provides high-performance, scalable, and programmable data center operations. This release is intended for Nexus 9000 Series switches running in ACI mode.

Caveats

Open Caveats

  • FEX logs missing in show fex detail
  • BGP maximum prefix policy configuration not supported
  • Some show interface outputs missing span‑destination info
  • GUI events/faults for interfaces may not display
  • Unnecessary SNMP traps generated on I/O module removal/insertion
  • Slow CLI command responses
  • show environment may miss sensors or FEXes
  • clear counters fails with spaces in interface name
  • Certain SPAN and multicast behaviors not working
  • Continuous threshold messages generated from fabric
  • Interface tagging inconsistent after reload

Resolved Caveats

  • Bash vulnerabilities (CVE‑2014‑6271, CVE‑2014‑7169) fixed

Known Behaviors

  • L3 switched packets exiting FEX HIF not spanned
  • Multicast may not span correctly with VLAN filters
  • Only 8 IP addresses per MAC learning supported
  • Warm standby on Nexus 9508 may leave standby supervisor unsynced
  • Recommissioned APIC joining cluster may cause CLI/GUI timeouts
  • Switch decommission may not complete clean reboot without manual intervention
  • IGMP Querier election across multiple EPGs or L2 outside networks not supported
  • Unknown IP multicast flooded unless “Optimized Flood” configured
