Overview
This document provides key information for NX-OS Release 13.2(3) for Nexus 9000 Series switches operating in ACI mode. Installation Guidance
- Clear the switch’s current configuration.
- Power off the switch.
- Install or replace hardware modules.
- Power on the switch.

Compatibility Notes
- Use only supported optics defined in the optics compatibility lists.
- Third-party optics are not qualified and may not operate consistently.
- Link-level flow control is not supported on ACI-mode switches.
- Use supported direct connection or breakout options for FEX installations.
- Fabric uplink ports must not be used as FEX fabric ports.
Usage Guidance
- Ensure required control and management protocols are permitted through contracts.
- Avoid direct connections between switches from different ACI fabrics.
- A 10G interface is required for controller (APIC) connectivity on leaf nodes.
- Validate MACsec/CloudSec compatibility where required.
- Remove legacy or incompatible optics ahead of deployment.
