Installation Guidance

  1. Clear the switch’s current configuration.
  2. Power off the switch.
  3. Install or replace hardware modules.
  4. Power on the switch.

Follow the ACI fabric hardware installation guide for detailed procedures.

Compatibility Notes

  • Use only supported optics defined in the optics compatibility lists.
  • Third-party optics are not qualified and may not operate consistently.
  • Link-level flow control is not supported on ACI-mode switches.
  • Use supported direct connection or breakout options for FEX installations.
  • Fabric uplink ports must not be used as FEX fabric ports.

Usage Guidance

  • Ensure required control and management protocols are permitted through contracts.
  • Avoid direct connections between switches from different ACI fabrics.
  • A 10G interface is required for controller (APIC) connectivity on leaf nodes.
  • Validate MACsec/CloudSec compatibility where required.
  • Remove legacy or incompatible optics ahead of deployment.

Known Behaviors and Issues

This release includes documented behaviors and issues that may affect operations:

  • Specific multicast traffic behavior under certain conditions.
  • Occasional unexpected node reloads or process restarts.
  • Traffic anomalies or drops under particular configurations.
  • Counter or statistic inconsistencies after events.

Refer to official release documentation for complete details.
