In his first foreign policy speech, the US President Joe Biden said there would be ‘extreme competition’ with China but he would not take Trump approach.[1]

In reply, Xi Jinping should propose to Biden, "OK. Let's compete ‘extremely’ as to how much we can contribute to the mankind!"[2]

The U.S. and China should compete as to how much they can contribute to the mankind instead of how much nukes, war ships, or missiles they have.

The U.S. and China should compete as to how much they can reduce greenhouse gasses, how much they can produce electric cars, how much they can alleviate poverty of the world, and how much renewable energies they can generate.

In this competition, the winner will be neither the U.S. nor China. The winner will be the mankind.

The U.S. and China should start ‘the Great Competition to contribute to the mankind’.

The U.S. and China should never start the new Cold War.

The Cold War between the U.S. and the Soviet Union was engineered by Britain, starting with Winston Churchill's Iron Curtain speech of 1946. By engineering the Cold War, Britain took advantage of the confrontation between two superpowers.

Now, Britain is trying to organize "QUAD +1" by means of the U.S., in which the U.S., Australia, Japan, India and Britain would try to contain China militarily and economically. Britain is once again trying to take advantage of the confrontation.

Never let Britain write a scenario of the 21st century. Instead, China should set a framework of the 21st century. China should define the nature and meaning of the international relations of the 21st century. China has power and idealism to do so.

China is the world No.1 producer of electric cars and the world No.1 generator of solar power and wind power. China has succeeded domestically in getting as many as 800 million people out of poverty. China's policy is People First and the protection of national sovereignty and territorial integrity..

Xi Jinping has been advocating "community of common destiny for mankind (人類命運共同體)". Along this line, Xi Jinping should propose to Biden, "Let's compete as to how much we can contribute to the mankind. Your capitalism versus our socialism with Chinese characteristics, let's see which of us can better and more contribute to the mankind. Let's compete fairly and respectfully."

If the U.S. and China compete as to how much they can contribute to the mankind, other nations will watch and follow the example.

As each nation starts competing as to how much they can contribute to the mankind, then, each individual citizen will embark on how much he/she can contribute to the mankind beyond his/her national border.

Instead of narrow nationalism and individualism, we should strive to contribute to the mankind. Instead of being the Americans or being the Chinese or being the Japanese or being the Koreans, we should live as the mankind.

That's the way to the peace and prosperity. That's the way how the human beings should be. That's the way God wants us to be.

Thank you.
