A political rally upholding constitutionalism and opposing collective self-defense was held in Yokohama, Japan on May the 3rd.
More than 30 thousands people gathered, which was three times more than originally expected.
People are angry against the Abe Cabinet's unconstitutional bills to adopt collective self-defense and send troops overseas because they are violating the Japanese Constitution which provides that Japan shall not use military forces to settle international disputes.
Constitutionalism recognizes that democratic and accountable government must be coupled with constitutional limits on the power of government.
Rule of law means that no individual, president or private citizen, stands above law. Any legislations or government deeds that violate the Constitution are null and void.
Actually, the Abe Cabinet controls only some of bureaucrats of the central government and some obedient metropolitan TV stations and major news papers. Excessive images are manipulated by major advertisement agencies.
Local governments, local news papers, local TV and radio stations are independent. Local people don't read major news papers. They read local papers.
Above all, the Abe Cabinet cannot control people's hearts that seek for peace and democracy.
Before long, the Abe Cabinet will lose momentum and be forced to resign.

立憲主義を守り、集団的自衛権に反対する政治集会が、5月3日、横浜で開催されました。
当初の予想の3倍にあたる、3万人を超えるみなさんが集会に参加しました。
人々は、憲法に反する安倍内閣の安保法制に怒っています。日本国憲法は、武力の行使は、国際紛争を解決する手段としては、これを放棄する、と規定しています。にもかかわらず、安倍内閣は、集団的自衛権を容認し、自衛隊の海外派遣を行なおうとしているからです。
立憲主義は、民主的で国民の福利に応える政府は、憲法により、その権限を制限されなければならない、とします。
また、法の支配は、大統領であれ私人であれ、何人も法の上に立たない、ということを意味します。憲法に反する、いかなる法令も行政行為も、全て無効です。
実は、安倍内閣がコントロールしているのは、中央政府の官僚の一部と従順な一部在京キー局・大手新聞だけです。それを、大手広告代理店が情報操作・演出をして、過大なイメージを作り上げているだけです。
地方政府および地方新聞、そして、地方のテレビ・ラジオ局は、独立しています。地方の人は、地方新聞しか読みません。
何よりも、安倍内閣は、平和と民主主義を求める人々の心をコントロールすることは出来ません。
間も無く安倍内閣は失速し、辞職に追い込まれるでしょう。
