I have been staying in Boston for more than three weeks, talking with Harvard professors and faculties to write a paper on Japan's adoption of collective self-defense and a crisis of democracy.
As I talked with Harvard professors and faculties, I noticed that American views on Japan's adoption of collective self-defense are divided.
Defense people tend to welcome Japan's adoption of collective self-defense. But, political science and constitution people tend to express concern about the undemocratic way that collective self-defense was adopted and the nationalistic tendencies of the current Japanese government.
In the eve of 4th of July, I could watch beautiful fireworks in Boston. Independence Day of 4th of July is one of the most important holidays in the United States.
