I always admire the expertise of my German friend of the German Federal Government who is in charge of presenting the latest situation of German renewable energies to foreign companies and facilitating them to invest to the German market.
Therefore, last February when he came to Japan, I made an arrangement of the meeting between my German friend and members of the Japanese Parliament so that he could make a presentation to them on the latest situation of German renewable energies especially in the area of solar power and energy storage.
His presentation to the members of the Japanese Parliament was super. Therefore, I began to feel that it would be wonderful if he would make the presentation directly to Japanese citizens.
The Secretary General of the Japanese NPO promoting solar power whom I know understood my wish and helped me to make the arrangement for my German friend to make a presentation at the 10th anniversary forum of the solar NPO. This time, we decided to use Skype so that he can make a presentation from Berlin to Japanese citizens in Tokyo over the Internet.
On the day of the 10th anniversary forum, the image of My German friend of the German Federal Government was on the big screen and he made a superb presentation over Skype to the Japanese citizens of the solar NPO. More than 60 members of the solar NPO attended the forum including a former vice-minister of environment ministry, professors, lawyers, and presidents of PV installers.
He presented to them the latest situation of German renewable energies especially in the area of solar power and energy storage. The members of the solar NPO were so impressed. They applauded my friend and his presentation!
I am very happy to be a part of it by translating his presentation into the Japanese language and interpreting questions and answers.
These members of the solar NPO will spread the information they received to other citizens. So, the precious information on German renewable energies will be spread from citizens to citizens. It's very democratic!
I hope that the seeds we sowed this time will produce a crop in future in the form of legislations even more favorable to renewable energies.

私の友人は、ドイツ再生可能エネルギーの最新状況、とくに太陽光発電と蓄電に関し、プレゼンテーションを行ないました。市民のみなさんは、たいへんに感銘を受け、私の友人と彼のプレゼンテーションを賞賛しました。
私は、彼のプレゼンテーションを通訳し、質疑応答を通訳することを通じ、参加出来て、たいへんに光栄でした。
今回、フォーラムに参加された市民のみなさんは、受け取った情報を他の市民のみなさんへ伝えます。ドイツ再生可能エネルギーに関する貴重な情報が、市民から市民へ伝わって行くこととなります。
我々が今回蒔いた種が、将来、より再生可能エネルギー普及を促進する法律となって結実することを望みます。
