As I mentioned in my article of March 23rd, 2012, I went to Freiburg, Germany in last March and visited the headquarters of the international organization of European local governments promoting renewable energies. I had a meeting with the managing director and assistants to the managing director of the organization.
Now, early this months, I exchanged mails with one of the assistants to the managing director of the organization.
In my mail, I asked him to promote the Greek Helios solar project so that Greece could make economic growth and repay her debts.
The Helios solar project was included in the agreement reached between EU member states and Greece last October. Under the Helios solar project, Greece is planning to install as much as 10 GW solar panels in Greece and export the electricity to northern European countries, which enables Greece to repay her debts.
I advised to him that the Greek issue is already a global issue and that, therefore, not only European local governments but local governments of other areas should be mobilized to support the Helios solar project.
Responding to my mail, he advised that he asked all his colleagues in his organization to collect information on the Helios solar project.
He also asked his colleagues to create a network between their offices and partners throughout the world to promote the Helios solar project.
I am most grateful to him. The Helios solar project is expected to be a great example of fostering a new democracy & civilization based upon renewable energies.

今年3月23日のブログ記事でご紹介しましたように、私は、去る3月にドイツのフライブルクへ行き、再生可能エネルギーの普及を行っているヨーロッパ地方政府の国際組織を訪ねました。そして、同組織の事務局長および事務局長補佐のみなさんとミーティングを持つことが出来ました。
さて、今月初め、私は、同組織の事務局長補佐の方とメールのやり取りを行い、ギリシャのヘリオス・ソーラー・プロジェクトを支援し、ギリシャの経済成長と債務返済を助けるよう要請しました。
昨年10月に成立したEU合意には、ヘリオス・ソーラー・プロジェクトが含まれました。同プロジェクトでは、ギリシャは、10GWの太陽電池を設置するとされています。発電された電力は北部ヨーロッパへ輸出され、ギリシャの債務返済が促進されます。
私は、彼に、ギリシャ問題は、すでにグローバルな問題となっているため、ヨーロッパの地方政府だけでなく、他地域の地方政府もヘリオス・ソーラー・プロジェクト支援のため、動員される必要があると伝えました。
これに応え、彼は、組織の全てのメンバーに対し、ヘリオス・ソーラー・プロジェクトについて情報を収集するよう要請したと伝えてくれました。
また、彼は、組織のメンバーに対し、ヘリオス・ソーラー・プロジェクトを支援するため、世界中のパートナーとの間でネットワークを築くよう要請したと伝えてくれました。
私は、彼に非常に感謝しています。ヘリオス・ソーラー・プロジェクトは、再生可能エネルギーに基づく、新しい民主主義と新しい文明醸成の先例となることが期待されます。
