When I went to a super market nearby my hotel, I found that NISSAN LEAF, a 100% electric vehicle, was parked at the parking area.
I was curious about what kind of persons were driving the car.
Then, a few minutes later, a middle aged lady and her son came out of the store and walked to the car.
I said, “Hi! You have a great car here. It’s NISSAN LEAF, a 100% electric vehicle!”
She smiled and said, “Yes. I love it!”
I asked, “Do you have charging stations around here?”
She answered, “Home!”
I suppose the car is her family’s second car which they use for a short distance driving such as shopping.
The car went away very smoothly and quietly.
For your information, gas prices are as much as around $4 a gallon here. EVs are very economical because you can charge them during nighttime when electricity is very cheap.

「こんにちは。良いクルマですねー！。日産リーフですね？。」と話しかけると、「ええ。とっても気に入ってるの。」とおっしゃってました。
「充電ステーションは、このへんにありますか？。」とお尋ねしたところ、「家で充電よ。」とおっしゃってました。
おそらく、ご家族で２台目のクルマで、買物など近所に出かけるときに利用されているのだと思います。
走り去るとき、とってもスムーズで静かでした。
ちなみに、今、ガソリンは１ガロン４ドル近くもします。電気自動車は、夜、電気代がもっとも安いときに充電するので、とっても経済的です。
