イギリスが熱波に見舞われていた期間中、 平日はエアコンがあるオフィスで大半の時間を過ごし、自宅にいるのは朝と夕方だけでした。
週末なので仕事はありません。気温は少し下がりましたが、エアコンなしで熱波の最中に自宅で過ごすのがどれほど大変なことか、身をもって理解しました。
During the UK heatwave on weekdays, I spent most of the day in the air-conditioned office and was only at home in the morning and evening.
Since it’s the weekend, I don’t have to work. Although the temperature has cooled slightly, I now understand how difficult it is to stay at home during a heatwave without air conditioning.
