2023年、LUNA SEAのツアー中に、彼は父親を亡くしました。それにもかかわらず、彼はツアー中もパフォーマンスを続け、いつも通りの高い水準を維持した。
2026年2月19日、つまりLUNA SEAのドラマーである真矢が2日間にわたって亡くなりましたが、隆一さんはソロコンサートを続け、素晴らしいパフォーマンスを披露しました。
このような困難な時期を誰もが耐え抜くことができるわけではないと思います。だからこそ、私は彼を心から尊敬しています。しかし、それができない人がプロフェッショナルではないと言っているわけではありません。それは全く自然なことであり、理解できることです。

I believe not everyone could persevere through such difficult times; that's why I respect him so much. However, I don't mean to imply that those who can't do so are unprofessional, it’s entirely natural and understandable.
