Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The best way to travel is in a group led by a tour guide. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

While some people agree that we could be most satisfied with the way to travel in a group in which a tour guide takes us, other people disagree with this statement. I agree with this statement. The reasons are as follows.

First, we could share our fun time with my family during a trip when we travel the way how a tour guide takes us. For example, I traveled in Tai-wan with my family when I was a junior high school student. It was the first time to go abroad for us. Then, my family went around various famous places. When we visited a museum, which is one of the most famous museums in Tai-wan, I got so impressed with the picture drawn by Claude Monet that I became eager to express and share my stimulated feeling. So, I talked about my impression to my family, and my mother told me that she also felt the same feeling as mine. At that time, I got very glad because she seems to understand what I felt. Without my family, I couldn’t have had such a good impression in a trip in Tai-wan. I appreciated doing my trip with my family.

Second, a tour guide shows me around a variety of popular places. Without a tour guide’s leading, I have to check a guide book by myself. It takes me much time. Moreover, even if I read through a guide book, I am only a stranger in a foreign country. So, I don’t know at all the landscape of the foreign country. I have to do many more to have a safe and pleasant trip without a tour guide.

Finally, I don’t have to pay additional fee to the company which hosts a guided tour. In other words, a company charges only fixed fee for my trip. The fact that I cannot decide how much money I need for a trip makes me irritated. If I go on a trip by myself, I am not sure of how much money I prepare for my trip, because I am not familiar with where I will go. In contrast, if I applied for a guided tour, I could know approximate total amount of money for a trip before I leave my country. It makes me more relieved.

In conclusion, as I mentioned above, I agree that the best way to travel is in a group led by a tour guide. A tour guide is crucial to a good trip.
